Much to our surprise Pukkie has Cushing, I was afraid of that. Although I know they really care for the animals, I had great difficulty to leave her there. At 9 o'clock in the morning I had to bring her in and at 8 o'clock in the evening we could pick her up and they would tell us what was wrong with her. Her adrenal glands produced too many cortisones, which would leave to tumours when left untreated. When you notice that your dog will drink more and gains weight quickly without eating more, let her blood being checked just to be sure. We caught it early and if we follow it up nicely she can get very old. We hope so because she is a very sweet dog and I hope we can enjoy her traits for a long time. Liesbeth and P Michiels have treated her very well.
