On december 2nd Mientje has been operated successfully in Sint-Truiden. For the third time a stone was removed from her blatter. This time it was sent to the laboratory again to see if it hasn't changed since last time. Liesbeth has told me that this was the last time she could be operated. It was already warm in the car. She was still sleepy and was feeling cold. I'm wondering what's going through these animals after such an operation. Our cats are kept warm and comfortable but I have to think at those wild cats who are being altered and kept in cages outside under a blanket in such low temperatures. It doesn't feel right to me. I hope we can enjoy Mientje's presence for a long time. She really is a sweetheart. But if the day comes that she gets it back and they can't operate her anymore I will have to put her to sleep. The quality of her life comes first to me. I don't want her having any pain. I love her to much for that. But I hope to enjoy her for many years.
