Diary 62
Diary
18th of March.
Finally found some time to update the diary.
On the first of February Karin came to get Skåthi, I really mis her. She is a great cat who likes to be cuddled. Despite the bad weather it was a good day and Karin gave me a book that helps understanding the cat's body language.
We saw some nice things on the indoor antique market and we'll go again next time when the weather is better.
Menetoh's kittens are born as well, I would like to bring them to my room but unfortunately that's no longer possible. Last year Reighn put Mona Lisa's kittens with Menetoh and laid down with them.
Now if she only sees Reighn she starts growling, no cat gets past the stairs let alone upstairs.
I had hoped that, once Menetoh's kittens were born, Mona would calm down but now she is even more careful.
Mona and her kittens have now moved downstairs. We could no longer keep them in the park we made for them and we wanted to sleep through the night without the kittens calling their mother or vice versa.
The kittens are all eating well and they all use the litterbox. From the moment they left the bench Mona dragged them inside the box. She is a sweet but strict mother.
Luna is very kind and playful but preferred to drink some milk from her mother rather than eating from a plate with her brothers and sisters. So we blended everything into something even Mona liked but not Luna. So I put it on her front legs and she started eating, not from her plate but from my fingers until last week. Now they all eat from their plate. You can do a lot when you think about it. They can play nicely with each other and with us. Last weekend there was a moment of panic. I had to use other cat litter because the one I usually take wasn't available. The package said suited for kittens but I asked just to be sure. No problem, it was suitable for kittens.
They went into the box so no problem until I saw Eros throwing up. When I wiped it I saw there was sad in it. I was cleaning the floor when Nina started throwing up and I could just catch it with paper towel. There was sand in as well.
Luckily Nele was home and I could go to her although it was rather late and Sunday morning she treated the kittens. Luckily they didn't really get loose stools. Thank you Nele for being there even if it was weekend.
Here are some pictures.
