Diary 67

Diary
June 30th

Last week Monday morning Felle's, the male, died. The autopsy revealed a hair ball in the little one's stomach.
At Thursday they got their first worm treatment, Perla as well who appeared to have a huge infection on her last nipple the next Sunday, the nipple next to it started to get infected as well. At four o'clock Sunday morning he got to the vet and a couple of hours later he called me.
Sunday evening we got to the vet again but they couldn't help him anymore.
Losing a kitten from an illness or birth defect I can live with but this has made me feel sick.
I had to tell three girls the male they were looking forward to had died. I really hope I never have to do this again.
The only thing I can do is give them first choice from the next litter and it doesn't matter which kitten they will get him or her at the same conditions.
I hope this will ease the pain a little.
Since a week the kittens and Perla are staying with me. The medication is working well and the infection has gone almost completely. Because of the medication she is now giving less milk but the supplements I'm giving them help a lot and they really like it. Their weight is also going up well, I'm very happy with that.
Since yesterday they also drink from a saucer but they also dare to walk over it so I have to mop from time to time but that is the last thing I'm worried about. I'm just too happy that they are doing so well and Perla's infection is almost gone.

Felle's is now buried next to Jantje. His grave also has white roses he was so beautiful.
Nina is now good friens with Pukkie.
When she notices it's time to go to sleep she will be the first next to me to be picked up.
Normally I don't go sleeping yet because I want to be sure the Pixie's still have food and water.
The little one understood that very quickly and now she will sit in front of the stairs and she makes sure she will picked up by whoever goes upstairs.
When she is a year old she can go playing with Monty.
