Diary 75

Diary
April 4th

It's been a while so time to update my diary.
It's been very busy but also very nice since Trixie has been here on holiday for a whole month.
When they picked her up they gave me a huge orchid for which my thanks.
It's quiet now there is no Trixie who greeted me in the morning, her place has been taken as well by Tommie.
Perla has also given birth to two beautiful poly kittens and I finally have my nice female which I have given the name Lina. Domenique has lately taken Perla the mother from Lina. While Perla was with me Megan went on holiday with Domenique.
Luckily this was possible because Megan doesn't like kittens or other cats but with Jan she is happy and he is happy with her and that is the most important.
She got an infection on her nipples but luckily not as bad as last time and I was there quickly.
My vet Nele Steeghen was also this time directly prepared to help even when it was Sunday and she was not on duty I could directly go to her. Perla still had three good nipples and this time I was very happy it were only two kittens. Thank you very much for all your good care for Perla.
At five weeks the kittens went back to Domenique he missed Perla and the little ones did very well so he can do the rest and now he will have his hands full. The short haired kitten Nala stays with him and Lina comes to me at 12 weeks, I'm already looking forward to that.
Gatou has now come on holiday and in a few weeks Felles brother will also be on holiday. They are two kittens from Monty and Makené. I always love to see them again. Noa also comes on holiday, it will be very busy but this time I will really like it.
Because Mona Lisa and Makené have to wait until June before they can go to the male the next kittens won't be expected before August, September and 1 at the end of the year.

At Thursday March 24th Nina gave birth to her first litter.
It wasn't easy for her and the way she was behaving I noticed something was wrong. When the contractions didn't start I called Nele to check up on Nina.
One kitten was laying in breech and the others were laying pretty far up.
Nina wouldn't be able to deliver that kitten naturally so we went on to a ceasarian. We have done all that was possible to get him through even when I knew he could have brain damage because of a lack of oxygen, if only he could have a chance to live there was enough place for him.
The three other kittens are doing great. 1 male straightfeet and 1 female with a long tail and 1 female with a rumpy raiser tail which means 2 vertebrae.
Beetle male poly with perfect tail was our weaker kitten which gently left this world.
He only lived a few days and now lies buried with Jantje.
His sisters and brother are doing great and already respond to my voice. They are big, with their two weeks they have already passed the 300 grams.

This year we won't go to the Expo in Gent, now the kittens are still little But November 26, 27 and 28 you can find us at the Expo in Hasselt.
The pixiebob's enjoy all the attention they deserve and Macgyver lies with me on the table looking at the people who are passing.
He responds as if it's very normal while it are only three days in a year that they see so many people.
I'm proud at my pixie's that they have such a nice personality as well as their kittens. Gatou now lays in the kitchen enjoying the sun because he was too young to go on holiday to Portugal. Jean told me that Edith sometimes thought they had a child instead of a cat. He just wants to be with everything.
He was altered Wednesday, everything went fine you don't notice anything from it.
At June 27th I will fly to Dallas and from there to Oklahoma.
Maranda Hull from cattery redriverbobis will pick me up in Dallas and from there we go to her home.
At July 7th I come back to Belgium.
I know Maranda a couple of years and found out that she does what she promises and says.
I find that very important and I'm looking forward to finally meet her and her family and of course all her pixiebob's.
A few litters have been born with wonderful kittens and soon there comes a female and a male to us for a new bloodline.

During Gatou's holiday we have made some nice pictures from him and his mother Makené.
With his 7 months he is already bigger then she is.
She treaded him just as nicely as when he was still little, she also went on well with the others.
He will come back a few times this year, for this I can only be happy.
Felles' brother comes in June with Findus his red friend, the ladies will be happy with all that attention.
Nina's little ones are doing great and play a lot, only the smooth surface is sometimes a problem when they run then the rear ligs tend to slip which looks very comical.
They already eat on their own sometimes dry food and they use the litterbox.
It's a huge difference those little droppings compared to the huge ones from Nina.
They are doing well and are gaining in weight. I now weigh them every two days.
The longtail will now live on as Cayou and he will live with Esther Polderman in Holland.
The longtail stays with us and can go with the new male next year.
The male with the fluffy tail is still available, he is the most cuddly of the three just like Monty.
